Upon entering the cave, you'll follow a small, partially flooded path (with a couple of worthwhile chests underwater), finally reaching the beating heart in the roots of the tree. The werewolf can either be left alone or killed before heading into the cave entrance, although the werewolf will try to attack Geralt if he comes too close to it. Head to the western side, at the base of the tree to find a werewolf guarding the entrance to a cave and an Igni Place of Power. ![]() If you approached the tree from the east, nearby wolves will attack and have to be killed. Don’t be fooled by this act! You have three options for the end of the quest.Regardless how you start this quest, make your way to the Ancient Oak where a voice will start telling Geralt to stay away. When you arrive, Letho threatens the men and gets shot in the shoulder. Ride off again to Lidenvale to fight the last group. There is one more group you two need to confront. ![]() Again, fight these bandits after Letho confronts the man that betrayed him. Follow him on horse back to the man that betrayed him. You can leave Letho to face the foes alone, but what's the fun in that? Jump into the fray and help and old friend out.Īfter helping him fight off bandits at the barn. When you reach the barn, you'll find a familiar old face. ![]() Walk carefully, sidestep the pits, and disarm or avoid the other traps. Traps appear on the minimap when you scan nearby. Just approach very slowly and keep using your senses. While this mission isn't particularly difficult, the approach to the farm is fought with traps. You do not need to pick up the quest “ The Fall of the House Reardon” to start this quest however, if you finish this quest before picking up " The Fall of the House Reardon," the latter will automatically be completed when you accept it. ![]()
